Old Forge Road

Old Forge Road is a major masterplanning project on the northern edge of Enniscorthy, transforming a greenfield site into a connected, mixed-use neighbourhood of nearly 200 homes. The scheme integrates medium-density residential units with retail, office space, and a childcare facility centred around a new green spine that links local and regional roads. This tree-lined corridor prioritises walkability, cycling, and biodiversity, supported by planted islands, footpaths, and cycleways.

Overview

Old Forge Road is a major masterplanning project on the northern edge of Enniscorthy, transforming a greenfield site into a connected, mixed-use neighbourhood of nearly 200 homes. The scheme integrates medium-density residential units with retail, office space, and a childcare facility centred around a new green spine that links local and regional roads. This tree-lined corridor prioritises walkability, cycling, and biodiversity, supported by planted islands, footpaths, and cycleways.

Mosart’s urban design strategy focused on creating strong community identity through open space planning. The site is anchored by three distinct parks: a central neighbourhood park with pond and play areas, a pine woodland with allotments and active recreation, and a civic courtyard at the heart of the commercial zone.

The masterplan delivers a gateway plaza framed by mixed-use buildings and three-storey residential blocks. Designed for community interaction, the plaza includes shared public realm features. The result is a character-rich, future-ready neighbourhood that balances landscape, movement, and liveability.

Certification is independent: the model is verified and the airtightness is measured before handover. What that is worth to a scheme
